As part of the process for drafting the new state trails plan, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources is collecting feedback on the current state trails system and what trail users would like to see for the future. When will I- 275 trail south of MI Ave be completed? I know the bridges are in place as south as Sibley, but the trail has not been redone.
The trail is completed to I-94/Hannan Rd at Northline Rd. It is currently closed from Van Born south because of road construction and should reopen in November. MDOT is working on funds to finish the trail to the metro park connector (the section where they have the bridges in). We are hoping to see that happen within a couple of years.
